Summary

WezaCare Solutions is looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual to take up the role of a DevOps Engineer in the organisation.

A DevOps Engineer works with developers and the IT staff to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analysing data to improve existing ones, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. They understand the software development lifecycle and clearly understand various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines).

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with coworkers to conceptualise, develop, and release software.


• Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines.


• Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, as needed.


• Creating CI/CD pipelines


• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure


• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes


• Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results


• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats


• Create and configure cloud-based environments and services


• Investigate and resolve technical issues


• Develop scripts to automate visualisation


• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance


• Previous experience with Kubernetes container orchestration (preference for using K8s within GCP ecosystem)

Requirements

• Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.


• Experience using an array of automation tools.


• Cloud skills and experience with GCP


• Good knowledge in networking


• Experience with Github and github actions


• Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation


• Current understanding of best practices regarding deploying applications
