About The Role
Apollo Agriculture is looking for a highly motivated finance professional to join our finance team and play a key role in our continued growth by managing Apollo’s financial planning and reporting processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing start up and take a strategic and hands-on role partnering across the business and growing Apollo’s FP&A function.
Your Day To Day
- Manage and develop Apollo Agriculture’s core financial model and build out projections for new business areas and international expansion. This will require partnering with Apollo’s leadership to understand Apollo’s future growth strategies and the key drivers of business growth and performance.
- Analyze the financial performance of the business, including developing and implementing financial KPIs, monitoring and driving financial efficiency across teams, and developing strategic initiatives based on data-driven analysis.
- Respond to internal and investor requests for financial information and ad-hoc analyses
- Work across teams on a range of analyses to support the financial objectives of these teams.
- Report and analyze monthly financial results and convey these to Apollo’s leadership.
- Work closely with department leaders to support department-level financial planning and provide support on budgeting.
- Work closely with the Director of Finance to build the financial infrastructure that supports Apollo’s current and future business goals
You
- Have expert-level excel and financial modeling experience; you have built multiple complex financial models from scratch. You should have deep experience in three statement modelling, forecasting, and valuation including DCF analysis
- Have 8+ years professional work experience with a focus in financial planning & analysis, ideally in a technology or financial services companyLove working cross-functionally to deeply understand business strategy and key drivers of performance
- Hold an MBA, CFA or similar qualification
- Have experience in capital budgeting and are comfortable with key methodologies such as NPV, IRR and payback period
- Have experience in SQL or a demonstrated willingness to learn
- Thrive on independent, quantitatively-oriented work, and are excited to receive feedback from colleagues and managers
- Are able to work independently, communicate progress and evaluate competing priorities
- Have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and are comfortable explaining complex processes to different audiences
- Are curious, a team-player, and equally comfortable with big-picture context as you are going deep in the weeds
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are able to meet tight deadlines when necessary
