Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) is the government parastatal whose responsibility is to assure the quality of agricultural inputs and produce to prevent adverse impact on the economy, the environment and human health. Vision: Healthy plants, safe trade and sustainable aggro-environment for a prosperous Kenya. Mission: To provide a science based regulatory service by assuring plant health, quality of agricultural inputs and produce for food security, globally competitive agriculture and sustainable development.
Job Specification
- Handling customer complaints;
- Updating and managing the Service’s website and social media accounts;
- Keeping a data book of complaints and ensuring prompt responses in line with the Communication policy;
- Maintaining of customer and stakeholders’ database;
- Maintain photo/media database to ease retrieval;
- Coordinate taking photos during events and special visits;
- Ensure protocol and courtesy is observed;
- Monitoring responses from other departments.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
- Four (4) years relevant work experience;
- Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Excellent Communication skills;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Report writing skills;
- Proficiency in Computer Applications;
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
