Accounts Assistant (Billing) Job in Mombasa, Kenya

Job Title: Accounts Assistant – Billing
 

This role is based in Mombasa. 

Those living and working in Mombasa will have an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to credibility


• Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies


• Issue and post bills, receipts and invoices


• Check the validity of debit accounts


• Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments


• Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines


• Provide solutions to any relative problems of clients


• Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data


• Read and interpret contracts to determine proper invoicing formats


• Generate custom Excel based invoice templates and system generated invoices on a daily basis


• Issue monthly customer statements


• Update customer files with issued invoices

Education and Experience

• CPA 3, ACCA Finalist


• BCOM or Finance degree is preferable


• Knowledge of accounts receivable


• Knowledge of office administration and procedures


• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures


• Knowledge of general accounting principals


• Proficient in relevant computer software


• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements


• 1-2 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
