Allavida a reputable regional Non-profit organization works to enhance the practice and outcomes of development funding, philanthropy and social investment.

Allavida is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Program Officer (PO) for Kenya Social Investment eXchange an institution that will work as a broker for deals between social investors and social purpose enterprises.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Officer will be responsible for project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.

Accordingly he/she will help develop and oversee the implementation of program strategies.

He/she will oversee the due diligence processes and other listing requirements for projects seeking funding through KSiX. He/she will also be required to correctly implement an appropriate monitoring and evaluation plan.

The incumbent will also be expected to initiate and sustain strategic linkages, collaborations and networking among implementing partners and other stake holders. This role will be undertaken jointly with other staff.

Additionally he/she will be responsible for the management of the KSiX investor and investee databases. He/she will be expected to ensure the information is secure, current and accessible to users within the organization when needed.

The position will require field visits from time to time and the incumbent should be prepared to travel as required.

A Degree in Economics, Entrepreneurship, Social sciences or any related field.Three (3) years progressive experience implementing livelihood development projects.Demonstrated knowledge of community mobilization and involvement.A demonstrated understanding of Grants management.A working knowledge of credit and micro financing.Proposal and report writing skills.Excellent IT skillsA demonstrated understanding of strategic planning.Excellent facilitation skillsUnderstanding of key donor reporting requirements.A basic understanding of contractual agreements.The position will be based in Nairobi.
