7. Fundraising & Grants Management
8. Conflict Management and Negotiation in the Workplace
9. Proposal Writing Skills for Donor Funded Projects
10. Financial Management For Non-Financial Managers
11. Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation
12.Practical Management Skills
13. Advocacy and Networking
14. Gender Mainstreaming and Development
15. Facilitation Skills
16. Communication and Presentation Skills
17. Staff Capacity Assessment and Development
18. Strategic Management and Planning
Qualifications
The person:
1. Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
2. Strong communication skills including cross-cultural competence necessary
3. Ability to work independently without supervision as well as in a team;
4. Strong written communication and report writing skills in English;
5. Professional Integrity
Education
1. Must possess a Master’s Degree in the above mentioned fields
2. Proficiency in report writing.
3. Proficiency in computer applications
4. Strong background and ability in participatory training methodologies.
Minimum experience
1. Should have at least 5-10 years experience of involvement with humanitarian organizations and government institutions.
2. Proven experience in institutional capacity building with the ability to prepare instructional materials such as course outlines, training content, handouts, reference materials, etc
3. At least 2 years hands-on experience in training facilitation
Other experience
1. Significant field experience in Kenya, Somalia and other parts of the Horn of Africa is desirable
