Key responsibilities:
•Provide technical support during implementation, monitoring and evaluation and ensure programme excellence in implementation of water and sanitation projects.
•Coordinate training to communities in water and sanitation operation and management.
•Provide technical review to tender documents for water and sanitation construction projects and participate in preparing water contracts.
•Coordinate water and sanitation collaboration and networks with the ministry of water, public health and other relevant partners.
•Prepare monitoring reports of water and sanitation projects.
•Facilitate and supervise the construction of shallow wells, boreholes, gravity water, rain water, harvesting systems and construction of latrines
Qualifications, Experience, Attributes & Skills required
•Relevant qualification in WatSan, Environmental Health or Engineering.
•At least (2) years in community based water and sanitation activities and hygiene interventions.
•Hands on experience in construction of shallow wells, boreholes, gravity water, rain water, harvesting systems and construction of latrines.
•Experience in design and implementation of rural community water supply projects, including health and hygiene promotion.
•Experience in Rural/ Community water supply engineering /community water supply technology desirable.
Good assessment, analytical and writing skills.
•Experience or training in Monitoring and Evaluation of projects desirable.
•Good working experience in community participation in development.
•Experience in adult learning methodologies.
•Experience in a humanitarian or other International NGO
•Knowledge of ECHO rules & regulations shall be an added advantage.
•Previous field level experience desirable
•Good communication both oral & written.
•A team player with good organizational skills.
