Save the Children Somalia/Somaliland Programme has been working in Central & South Somalia, Puntland and Somaliland for over 40 years. Our focus of work includes improving access to healthcare, education and food provision to children and their families.
We are looking for a motivated team player to take up the position of Area Representative for Save the Children Central South Somalia. This position is responsible for the effective delivery and development of programmes in Central South Somalia.
As a member of the Senior Management Team you will actively participate in the strategic development of the Somalia programme as a whole.
Integral to this posting is the ability to work successfully with field teams to cultivate their capacity and motivation, thereby ensuring field based responsibility achieves its objectives successfully
As such, you’ll need a post graduate degree in the field of social sciences, substantial experience in development and management of programmes in conflict affected countries. Experience of Somalia and remote support desirable. We need a strategic thinker and natural communicator, able to creatively manage a highly motivated team to achieve their objectives successfully.
