Introduction
The KEC - Catholic Secretariat is the National Administrative, facilitative and Coordinative arm through which the KEC implements and co-ordinates various Pastoral programs at the National level and undertakes all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic Church in Kenya.
It is seeking an outstanding, dynamic and results oriented individuals to fill the following key positions.
Reporting to the Secretary General, the FA will join the Executive team of the Organisation and will be responsible for the Financial Management, Institution and Capital Development, Financial Strategy and fund development for all the KEC Institutions and assist the Dioceses and Affiliated institutions to enhance their financial management and fund development capability for the KEC Institutions so as to ensure optimal institutional development
Duties and Responsibilities
Driving funds generation and providing leadership in Financial Management, Control and Reporting across the all KEC-CS Institutions and affiliated OrganisationsManagement and support of strategic planning and budgeting processes for KEC-CS and affiliated Institutions and ensuring that robust Management Information Systems and processes are in placeInvestments Management through ensuring that there are sound Treasury Management policies on liquidity, assets and liabilities managementJob-specific skills Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles;Knowledge and experience of related computer applicationKnowledge of economic principlesKnowledge of auditing practices and principlesThis is a high profile role and an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with the following credentials:
Qualifications
Has a Masters Degree in Business Administration or Masters in Management Sciences"A bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related fieldA minimum of CPA (K) professional qualification will be an added advantageExcellent MS Excel and MS Word skillsMinimum of 10 years professional experienceAble to work under minimum supervisionHas good interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent written and oral communications skillsA good knowledge of social teachings of the Church, and Ethical principlesGroup facilitation skills an added advantageGood inter personal relationships, good interactive communication, and natural leadership and high stress tolerance levelAttention to detail and accuracy, planning and organizingApplications should be addressed to:-
