Communication Specialist
The Communication Specialist will lead the development of communications system for the HCSM program activities in Kenya.
She / he will provide strategic communications leadership and direction to key constituencies of the program through effective communication systems and initiatives.
She / he will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various HCSM Kenya health communication and marketing activities designed by the program to impact positive health outcomes and increase Program visibility.
The candidate will also organize activities that identify supporters and harness their energy to pass on important program related messages and reports to the varied stakeholder groups and ensure information is properly being captured, synthesized and shared at all levels.
Applicant will possess a Master’s degree in communications, public health, or related field and 5 years of relevant experience. Background in pharmacy or other medical sciences is an added advantage.
Candidates will demonstrate success in developing communications campaigns and programs, preferably with international public health programs
Internal Auditor
The Internal Auditor functionally reports to the Director of Internal Audit and is responsible for conducting internal audits for the HCSM Program in Kenya.
He/she plans and conducts the audits and submits reports to the Director Internal Audit.
He/ she will review internal controls, test financial transactions and assets, and check compliance with funding agency regulations and contractual requirements.
Audits are conducted in compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (SPPIA), the US Government Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAGAS) for US Government Funding and MSH’s Internal Audit policies and procedures.
Applicants must have a minimum of undergraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent and be fully qualified accountants holding CPA (K) or its equivalent and be registered members of the Institute of certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
Candidates who possess relevant postgraduate qualifications will have a distinct advantage.
At least 10 years working experience 3 of which will be at senior – level auditing and financial in a busy office.

Program Associate - Malaria
The Program Associate will provide technical assistance to improve pharmaceutical management systems in Kenya as a malaria team member working under the supervision of the Supply Chain Specialist.
The Program Associate will support the provision of MSH/HCSM technical assistance to the Division of Malaria Control (DOMC) and other Roll Back Malaria stakeholders in planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating activities, with special attention to pharmaceutical management Malaria diagnosis and care management.
Applicants must possess a relevant academic degree or equivalent; relevant, professional training with significant experience in public health.
Qualification in health sciences, public health, epidemiology or pharmacy is preferred.
He / She must have strong familiarity and experience with pharmacy, health commodity logistics, and/or pharmaceutical management systems.
Knowledge of and/or experience in Malaria interventions and public health management issues in developing country context is required.
Candidates must demonstrate ability and willingness to travel periodically within Kenya.
Thorough understanding of the Kenya public and private pharmaceutical sectors is required for this position.
