Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

Purpose of the position:

To oversee the EARO Core accounting unit by managing the payments, cash disbursement, SA & payroll processing and financial reporting so as to promote financial stewardship and accountability

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

Bachelors degree and/or CPA (K)/ACCAMinimum 5 Years experience in Accounting roles with 3 years on a similar positionSolid knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, budget/cash-flow monitoring and internal accounting controlsKnowledge of and experience with government grant regulations and financial reporting requirements preferredMust have good working knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably Sun Systems & Vision.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office programsGood oral/written and interpersonal skills.Able to work on a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff.Job Details
