The overall purpose of the job is to participate in the design and implementation of the Center’s research projects.Coordination of data collection, analysis, and dissemination activitiesParticipation in community mobilizationLiaison with various government agencies and partner organizationsAssisting in writing scientific papers including literature reviewPreparing project reports and policy briefsMA, MSc, or MPH in any one of the following: Public health/Epidemiology, Demography, Sociology, Anthropology or Development StudiesExperience in program design, implementation, coordinationFamiliarity and experience with social science/health research protocolGood computer literacyExcellent monitoring and evaluation and report writing skillsKnowledge of multiple statistical and qualitative software packages.Evidence of scientific writing (e.g publication in journals)Experience of working in urban slum settingsAbility to work independently, set priorities, juggle tasks, meet deadlinesInitiative and innovation in assessing situations, conflict resolution, team buildingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent oral and written communication in EnglishPlease apply enclosing a detailed CV, quoting current and expected salary and providing contact details of three referees to the address below by June 22, 2012.
