Kimetrica is a fast growing technology company headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya with offices in the US.
In addition to software, data services and training, we have an elaborate in house IT infrastructure that
requires maintenance and frequent enhancement based on advancements and availability of new
technologies.
Kimetrica is seeking a dynamic individual, who is committed to strengthening capacity in its IT setup. The IT assistant reports to the ICT officer and the position will require close liaison with all the other
departments to ensure that all IT related needs are addressed in good time.Maintain and enhance local area networksIn the absence of the IT manager ensure consistent bandwidth and liaise with ISPInstalling and configuring computer hardware operating systems, applications and related services e.g. printersInventory tagging and management i.e. tagging company computer hardware and tracking software licenses /equipment issue and return.Talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or remotely to help set up systems or resolve issuesTroubleshooting systems and network problemsDiagnosing and solving hardware/software faultsSupporting the roll-out of new applications when requiredSetting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issuesResponding within agreed time limits to call-outsPrioritizing and managing many open cases at one timeTesting and evaluating new technologyConducting electrical safety checks on computer equipmentDiploma in IT or related field Degree is an advantageGood knowledge of computer hardwareGood hands on experience with IT support functionsExperience of LAN and WAN support essential CCNA certification is an advantageExcellent communications skills and courteous approachExperience in Server management and configuration is an advantageKnowledge of or exposure to security appliances is an advantageProbationary Period of 2 monthsHealth Insurance packageSend an email to jobs@kimetrica.com with this information:An email covering letter including:An explanation of how you are suited for the positionThe names and email contacts of three recent clients who can provide a referenceA recent CV as an attachmentDO NOT attach proof of qualificationsSubmit by 10 AM GMT Friday 16th November, 2012.
