VAT/GST Operations Senior Specialist – Sub-Sahara Region Job

Responsible for executing processes within Corporate VAT/GST Operations as directed by manager.

Reporting to the VAT/GST Operations Manager for the Sub-Sahara region, this position will:

- Deliver VAT/GST reporting and related services to GE businesses

- Ensure that all VAT/GST returns and associated statistical filings for client businesses are filed and paid on time

- Complete a program of risk-based reviews of business VAT/GST returns and associated processes to ensure accuracy of filings

- Analysis of VAT/GST documents for accuracy using thorough and in-depth knowledge of VAT/GST regulations

- Provide support during inspections and queries from local tax authorities

- Communicate with business unit, tax leaders and other sub-contracted support functions

- Drive standardization, automation and process improvements to ensure VAT/GST compliance

- Training of finance, business and other sub-contracted support functions on the use of the GE on-line VAT/GST return tool
