Duty Station: Monarch Group (Chester House, Nairobi)
Key Task: To effectively manage and ensure maintenance of Monarch Group‘s residential and commercial properties to the satisfaction of the tenants and shareholders.In addition, develop new commercial properties business, conduct valuation of properties and provide comprehensive commercial property services to clients.
Carry out valuations on behalf of either individual occupiers or landlord clientsPrepare accurate forecasts for future as well as current value by identifying opportunities for enhanced performanceDeveloping and maintaining cordial relationships with Monarch Group clients by responding to their enquiries/requests/complaints expeditiouslyTaking charge of health and safety within Monarch Group clients ‘ and undertake quarterly health and safety inspections within the propertiesCarry out and record annual risk assessments including fire risk within the property and make recommendations on improvements where necessaryEnsuring there is a maintenance plan for the Monarch Group properties and monitor its implementationParticipate in the selection and prequalification of contractors especially maintenance related onesReview and approve requisitions for maintenance and repair work as part of budgetary controlLog and prepare the appropriate reports on progress of all repairs in an accurate manner and provide feedback to the relevant users/clientsCarry out regular audits of equipment in Monarch Group properties to ensure its safe custody and to monitor their maintenanceProcess all necessary documentation associated with leasing and managing properties; this will require liaison with the Head of Legal ServicesManage the performance of the maintenance team, reviewing performance and ensuring they are adequately motivated, trained and developedMonitor the performance of cleaning staff and security staff and report on areas of concern to the GCEOTo maintain a high professional and ethical profile in accordance with industry and company standardsBachelors degree in Land Economics or the equivalent4 years experience in a similar positionFull member of the Institute of Surveyors of KenyaCertified estate agent and property valuerProficiency in MS Office, Word, -PowerPoint, and ExcelExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenHonest, well organized and demonstrate high level of integrityeMail your application and CV to: jobsatmonarchgroup@gmail.com
