Bungoma County ICT Director Job in Kenya

Bungoma County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified Kenyans to fill the following position:
County Director of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)
Job Group ‘R’
The officer will be responsible to the Chief Officer Education, Science and ICT
Provide leadership, vision and management of ICTAssess and respond to ICT needs of the countyManage and advice the county on ICT mattersSourcing and mobilizing resources for ICT projectsFormulating operational policies and guidelines on the utilization of ICT resourcesOversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packagesBe responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying and disposition of computer hardware and softwareServe as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts and agreementsVendor interactions, systems operations and maintenanceMaintain the integrity and continual operation of ICT network including the wireless networksMaintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines and equipmentDevelop, review and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plansPerform any other duty as assigned by the County Chief OfficerDegree in Computer Science or related field from a University recognized in KenyaMust have served on Job Group Q or its equivalent for at least 3 yearsMaster degree in Project ManagementBroad operational knowledge of information management systemsAbility to multi task, motivate and lead othersRegistration as a member to relevant body will be an added advantageSatisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of KenyaTerms of Service: Contract
