Organizational background: The Somalia Food Security Cluster (FSC) is jointly managed by the World Food Programme Somalia and the Food and Agriculture Organisation Somalia whose activities include the coordination of food security related programmes to minimise response gaps and promote preparedness. The FSC works with humanitarian agencies in Somalia to invest in the capacity of the cluster’s membership and work with the broader humanitarian community.
This position is open to qualified Kenyan nationals only.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
Manage the Food Security Cluster (FSC) reporting database;Analyse and process requests for a variety of data;Using WFP’s Information Systems, enter new and revised data such as new estimates/budget revisions, insurance claims and other data;Prepare periodic reports, statistical information and tables;Train and support membership of Food Security Cluster (FSC) reporting tool use, functions and updates;Trouble shoot issues with database, reporting and membership contributions;Act as administrative focal point for FSC (e.g stationary requests, inventory, transport booking, attendance sheets & leave plans);Maintain accurate records and files within the field of work;Perform other related duties as required.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Secondary school education, preferably supplemented by courses in a field related to WFP programmatic activities
Experience: At least three years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in the field of accounting, transport, insurance, statistics, operations or other related field. At least one year at the G3 level or equivalent.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali language is a requirement.
Knowledge: Experience utilising computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other standard WFP software packages and systems.
