KCAA ICT Security Officer Job in Kenya

Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Transport established under the Civil Aviation Act 2013 ‘to develop, regulate and manage a safe, efficient and effective Civil Aviation System in Kenya’ KCAA is seeking to recruit qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following positions in the establishment:
Job Title: ICT Security Officer
Job Purpose: To initiate, plan and implement appropriate ICT security measures for the Authority
 Scope of work / duties / responsibilitiesCarries out ICT security vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on business systems and LAN/WAN networksFormulates and oversees implementation of Information security policies, standards and proceduresEnsures confidentiality and optimum security of KCAA electronic data, records and information all the time.Liaises with internal and external auditors on appropriate ICT security auditsEnsures regular updates from all threats to systems implemented in KCAADesign and build security procedures in new and existing systems and networksSensitizes and advisers management and other users on ICT Security issues.Plan and coordinate intergration of security standards, processes and tools into day-to-day ICT operational activities including software development life-cycle, change management, and technical monitoring.Coordinate/perform application vulnerability assessments, code reviews, and assessment of SDLC processes and incorporate lessons learned into security awareness material and coordinate local security awareness activities.Any other official duty assigned by the Manager.A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from a recognized universityCertified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Certificate of good conduct2 years’ experience in ICT system securityCurrent knowledge on emerging ICT security threats and mitigation measuresProven integrity and accountability in the management of informationCommunication and good interpersonal skillsAbility to work with minimum supervision.Interested candidates are requested to send their application letter quoting the reference No. on the envelope and application letter, attach copies of certificates, testimonials and a detailed CV indicating current salary and expected salary, day time telephone and full contact details of three professional referees to the address below to be received not later than 18th July 2014. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
