Job Title: Direct Sales Coordinator
Summary: Our Client is the world's leading flower auction and plays a key role as marketplace matchmaker, intermediary and knowledge centre, and offers its members the best sales opportunities at the lowest possible costs.
Operating internationally, the company has five auction centers in the Netherlands and local representatives all over the world, with offering including the best quality and various selections of flowers and plants, and the utilization of state of the art systems for managing the supply chain right from the growers’ pack houses to the destination markets.
Our client is currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic Direct Sales Coordinator. Job Purpose: In this role, you will act as a link between foreign buyers and growers in Kenya, and manage the direct sales deals for flowers while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. You will also work closely with the Business Development Team to grow the existing customer base.

Key Responsibilities
Be the contact person for the assigned (foreign) buyers and seek maximize their customer satisfactionReceive customer orders from clients and communicate the same to growers according to their pre-established capacity.Pro-actively source for products requested by assigned buyersResponding to enquiries and fulfilling them in a professional wayDaily communication with the growers / building a business relationship with the growersLiaise with growers to come up with shipment forecasts and use these forecasts for flight booking through the freight forwards.Prepare (pro-forma) invoices & phyto-certificates and forward to finance department for payment.Conduct sample flower inspections before shipment to ensure that they meet customer specifications.Degree /Diploma in sales and marketingAt least 3 years working experience in a sales roleExposure to international markets and/or flower/horticulture industry is an added advantage.Excellent communication and negotiation skillsExcellent command of both oral and written EnglishAttention to detailBasic knowledge and experience in logistics managementAnalytical and logical approach to problem solvingSend your application including a cover letter indicating your desire to work with our client; a detailed CV highlighting relevant experience, details of current and expected salary, a daytime phone contact, email address, and the names of three professional referees by close of business Wednesday 28th January 2015
