Formulate and implement country ICT strategy, policy and plans within the Country Kenya Programme with a primary focus on ICT and how it impacts development programming
ICT Strategy and Policy
Provide advisory support on trends and innovations in ICT4D technologies and liaise with the Regional ICT Advisor to implement as appropriateConduct ICT needs assessment with all programme and support units and provide ICT effective and efficient solutions including but not limited to software development and infrastructure improvementsLiaise with helpdesk and regional advisor regarding planned infrastructure improvements and agree on standardsMonitoring and Evaluation of running ICT systems, advising management on the impact they are having on programming and making recommendationsBuild the capacity of staff in ICT through on and off the job trainingRepresent Concern and participate in relevant ICT related forums and activitiesSystems Administration & MaintenanceMaintain data integrity and undertake security and server controls to ensure maximum uptime of systemsEnsure server backup/restore and disaster recovery with the help of the regional and helpdesk staff.Routine check of the condition of the network and propose necessary upgrades or changes to ensure efficiency.Setting up and maintenance of all communications equipment including HF Radios (Codans), VHF radios, VSATs and Satellite phones.Mapping and documentation of ICT infrastructure in all Concern Kenya officesManage the email client system and ensure smooth functioning of email services on a cloud hosted platform.Escalate problems and liaise with the Helpdesk/Regional advisor team to request further supportProvide technical support for the use of Concern’s corporate systems such as the Partner Website, HRMIS, IDSUE and Education System etcBuild the strategic and technical capacity of staff and Partners in ICT for effective and efficient delivery of programmesQuality Assurance and On-Going Development
Liaise with nominated external ICT service providers in relation to quality of serviceUndertake ICT risk assessments aimed at safeguarding health and safety at workMonitor for compliance with Concern’s ICT policy and proceduresSee attached Job Description
