Commercial Sales Agronomist Job in Uganda

A leading mineral fertilizer company with a global presence is sourcing for qualified candidates for the position of Sales Agronomist with experience in commercial agriculture.

The company deals in processing of ammonia, nitrates, NPK and fertilizers. We import a full portfolio of crop nutrition products through our operations in Mombasa and Nairobi.

Note: The position will be based in Uganda.

Responsibilities

To determine ways of cultivating crops on different plots of land, having in consideration the conditions of soil.Create and implement effective direct sales strategies for the organization and lead nationwide direct sales personnel.Visit key clients in Floriculture, Horticulture, Coffee, and Cereals, to build business, and identify opportunities.To determine the technological processes for sowing crops and the growing of the seedlings of vegetables, fruits, grape vines, etcThe management of agro-technical processes in the cultivation of plants.Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results.Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.To make decisions about the plowing, sowing and plant protectionTo select and procure the seeds, fertilizers and other materials required for plant growthTo schedule the plowing and sowing.Draw the production plans according to the consumers' needsReceiving orders, developing the market and drawing up plans for animal productionTo manage the exploitation of land resourcesTo prepare laboratory tests for agricultural land and organization of the groundTo determine the fertilization processTo prepare the production plan for the crop plantsTo record the operative documentsTo ensure the coordination with the production of animalsDetermine ways of cultivating crops on different plots of land, as per the ground conditionsQualified Ugandans and Kenyans are invited to apply for the position.Make decisions on plowing and sowing.Choose and procure seeds, fertilizers and other materials.Schedule sowing and plowing.Prepare the production plans in accordance with the requirements of customers, receive their orders, enhance market development, etcPrepare plans for livestock production.Manage and regulate the exploitation of land resources.Prepare the analysis and laboratory testing for agricultural land.Determine the processes of fertilization.File the operative documents.Ensure the coordination with livestock production.Qualified candidates to forward their Resumes and cover letter to the email cvs@careerdirections.co.ke.
