Description: Assess the cleanliness and hygiene situation of the establishment and detect current and potential problems. Perform common household tasks to maintain a clean work place.Skills needed for a support staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented – pays attention to details at each location, with extra attention to any special requests.
Friendly and Professional – able to deal with customers when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed
Team player – ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done.
Self starter – able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.
Desire to learn, seek new challenges and take on additional responsibilities
Reasoning ability. Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems.
Perform simple sterilization procedures such as boiling rugs and other cloths.
General Requirements of a staff:
Language Skills
Ability to speak and write English and Kiswahili fluently and relay information between the team, and office staff.
Personal Integrity
Be honest and reliable
Be trustworthy and respectful
Maintain excellent time-keeping and attendance
Be professional at all times
Work Environment
Physical demands include walking and standing, climbing, bending, push and pull objects, lift and move objects, repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements.
Uniforms provided by the management, must be worn during work hours
Education, Certifications and/or Experience
High School and above required;
Experience in a support staff cleaning environment is preferred.
