democratizing timely transport information with the hope to bring
greater sanity to the roads and inform city planning and transport
regulation in emerging economies through the provision of transport data
and trend analysis

Senior Sales Executive Position
Due
to our rapid growth, Nairobi based tech startup, is looking for an
outstanding senior sales executive with in-depth understanding of
digital advertising & marketing to run the company’s sales and
advertising.
This
is a senior role responsible for identifying strategic clients through
research efforts, relationships, and outreach. The Sales Executive
understands the importance of following a strategic sales process that
ultimately results in closing deals with our largest prospects.
Ideal
candidates will have a proven track record of successful sales
experience, established networks and contacts in relevant field, and
demonstrated leadership ability.
You
will have a lot of freedom to craft your sales technique, implement
your expert experience, and help shape the sales strategy for the
company going forward. The markets you are entering are extremely raw.
The
company has zero direct competitors and therefore is in complete
control of the expectations throughout the entire sales process.
You will need to be a road warrior to blaze these trails. Schedule is self controlled.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5+ years of successful sales experience in relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to ask for, get, and nail meetings with high level managers and C level executives.
- Proven ability to manage sales cycles selling both horizontally and vertically within an organization.
- Your previous success has resulted in a rolodex of senior level marketing and digital strategy executives.
- In-depth understanding of digital advertising
- Excellent command of written & spoken English language
- Understanding of social media and digital advertising
- Experience developing and following a strategic sales process.
- Willing to make cold calls and have proven to develop a robust pipeline.
- Ability to influence cross
functional teams without formal authority, gaining consensus and
executing. You should carry yourself like a true “A” level professional. - Superior written, verbal, and
presentation skills, including extensive experience writing proposals
and making executive presentations. - Experience using a sales tracking software such as Salesforce, BaseCRM, or a similar product.
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high growth startup environment
Education
- You should be smart, have an insatiable sense of intellectual curiosity and driven to succeed.
- A degree or higher in Sales, Marketing or related field

This role is well compensated through a base salary + recurring monthly commissions.
