Head of Field Sales (Agent Network) Job in Kenya




Head of Field Sales – Agent Network
 



Key Accountabilities


  • Grow Sales by agreed upon targets

  • Grow Agent Network by 50 Net New Successful Agents / Month

  • Set up systems and processes so that the model is scalable across Kenya and beyond

  • Ensure we recruit, train, develop and inspire a great Sales team


Required Experience


  • 5+ years in Sales leadership roles

  • At least 2 years’ experience managing Sales Managers / Supervisors

  • You have managed teams of over 20 Sales Associates – through Supervisors and Managers, ideally in geographically dispersed locations.  

  • At least two  years of experience growing sales while selling to Bottom of the Pyramid customers.

  • You have worked in entrepreneurial and unstructured environments where problem solving and “figuring it out” are par for the course. 

  • Ideally, you have worked in rural areas and with Agent networks.  

  • You have a valid driver’s licence.

  • Hands-On – our client is a startup that is growing very fast and has ambitious goals.   Building the capability of the sales team is critical to achieving these goals.   This can only be done by someone who understands that, in order to be successful, you need to be in the field, on the ground, talking with Sales Associates and Agents on a regular basis.   As Head of Sales you will often need to do things that Sales Managers and Sales Supervisors usually do until you can increase the sales team capabilities.   

  • Analytical Problem Solver – You know that data tells a story and you are obsessive about analyzing the data provided to you in order to understand what is happening in your business.  When you understand, you recommend and develop interventions that drive the numbers in the right direction.

  • Entrepreneurial Passion – You live and breathe sales.   It is your profession and you have worked hard to become a master at your craft.    Nothing gives you more pleasure than sharing this passion with others and using it to drive results.   You love to do this in an environment that allows you the freedom to create your own RESULTS
