Job Title: Talent Acquisition Manager


Reports to: People Operations Director


Level: Mid-level position with significant growth and upward mobility potential


Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience


Location: Kilifi head office with <5% field work and travel


Introduction:


Komaza is looking for a full-time Talent Acquisition Manager based out of its Kilifi, Kenya office to build a recruiting pipeline for the best talent available to support the expansion efforts of a fast-growing sustainable forestry company. This is a dynamic and diverse position with significant opportunity for growth.


The Role:


Komaza’s People Operations groups serves as an internal consulting capacity for all things regarding people. Talent Acquisition is an integral part of that. Komaza prides itself in attracting some of the best talent available. The Talent Acquisition department serves as external brand ambassadors and as internal consultants.


The Talent Acquisition Manager leads the TA team in designing the best processes which can evaluate candidates the best way and determine if they are a fit. The TA Manager liaises with Hiring Managers on their staffing needs and designs the best sourcing strategies based on workforce plans the TA Manager created in cooperation with department heads.


The Talent Acquisition Manager knows what the difference between recruiting, sourcing and Talent Acquisition is. He/She understands that there is more to recruitment than posting job descriptions on job boards and shortlisting a few candidates. The Talent Acquisition Manager knows how to build candidate relationship programs and has creative ways of building long lasting and self-replenishing candidate pools.


As the Talent Acquisition Manager, a typical day might include:



  • Talking to universities and vocational training institutes on how to source candidates from their student pool




  • Do workforce planning together with department heads




  • Do market research and create reports for the business leadership




  • Conducts recruitment drives




  • Interview candidates




  • Maintain recruiting records




  • Design screening tools
