Programmes Director Job in Nairobi Kenya




Concern Worldwide is an international

non-governmental humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of

suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in

the world’s poorest countries.

qualified Kenyan nationals for the following position:
 


Job Title: Programmes Director
 

Location: Nairobi
 


Duration: Two

(2) Years 


Job Summary: To manage the implementation of Concern Kenya’s

multi sectoral programme in line with its Country Strategic Plan (2012-2016)

programme strategies, programme quality while maintaining and strengthening

focus on community empowerment, system strengthening and emergency

preparedness. 



The incumbent will be responsible for

programme design, implementation oversight, PM&E, emergency response and

building capacity of the programme team.

  • A master’s degree in development studies,

    social sciences or other related discipline.

  • Technical skills in system strengthening,

    education, health and nutrition, governance and advocacy or sustainable

    livelihoods.

  • A minimum of five years field management in

    emergency and development contexts with demonstrated success in improving

    programme quality.

  • Excellent leadership, networking, fundraising,

    problem solving, analytical, planning, communication, M&E, report and

    technical paper writing skills.
