A diversified Horticultural Company based in Nairobi, Kenya with 4 farms in the outskirts of Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Fleet and Workshop Manager.
The successful candidate MUST have relevant fleet and workshop management experience.
He / she should be Gujarati / Punjabi / Hindi speaking.
Key Responsibilities;
- In-charge of maintaining the company fleet of vehicles.
- Keep timeliness schedule on the service and maintenance of equipment in his care.
- Advise management on key areas of maintenance.
- Ensure machinery and motor vehicles are all in sound mechanical condition.
- Monitor machinery and motor vehicle usage by the respective operators.
- Ensure asset management.
- Monitor vehicle movements and fuel control.
- Handling workshop staff.
- Maintain staff discipline and welfare in accordance with the company policy.
- Accurate record keeping.
- Maintain stock sheets for all workshop consumables.
- Maintain standard measures of health and safety among the staff.
Qualifications;
- Must have 10 years plus work experience in transport.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Must be able to speak Gujarati/ Hindu / Punjabi.
- A relevant degree from a recognized institution.
- A clean and valid driving license.
- Must have solid and proven transport background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Must be willing to travel.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 150,000 /= (Approx. 1,500 USD) depending on experience
