Brief description of the organization
ChildFund is an international child-centred development organization. We are a member of the ChildFund Alliance; a global network of 12 organizations that assists more than 15 million children in 58 countries around the world. ChildFund Kenya works through 13 local partners (LP’s) comprised of 38 community organizations in 26 counties. The thematic areas that we focus on are Child Protection, Household Economic Strengthening, Early Childhood Development, Education, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Emergency Response, Health and Nutrition. Our three-fold mission is to help deprived, excluded and vulnerable children improve their lives and become adults who bring positive changes to their communities: to promote societies that value, protect, and advance the worth and rights of children: and to enrich supporters’ lives through their support of our cause.
Project background
ChildFund Kenya in partnership with Procter and Gamble through a local partner, Eastern Community Development Programme (ECDP), is implementing a two-year grant on community water purification using Proctor and Gamble purifier of water. The project is being implemented in two Counties of Machakos and Kitui. The projects’ goal is to increase access to safe and clean drinking water for people using murky waters from earth dams, sand dams and hand dug wells. It also aims to increase community awareness and access to clean water.
Scope of work
Through Procter and Gamble project ChildFund Kenya intends to put up composite water filtration system in Migwani Kitui county as per the tender document.

Qualifications
Must have at least 2 similar jobs equal or greater in magnitude and cost in the last 5 years
Must demonstrate possession of equipment relevant to the implementation of the assignment
Must have at least 2 of key personnel with training and experience relevant to the assignment.
Must have experience working in Kitui and Machakos Counties
The company annual turnover should be at least 3 times the value of this tender
How to apply
Prices quoted shall be inclusive of duty and other taxes and shall remain valid for 90 days from the closing date of the tenders. Completed tender documents shall be submitted in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the Tender number and name and marked “DO NOT OPEN" before 29th July 2021, 10.00 am. Tenders will be opened immediately after the closing time in the presence of ChildFund Procurement Committee.
