Job Description
- Coordination and participation in the monthly Management and Group reporting process
- Participation in the business planning, budgeting and forecasting process
- Provide ongoing support to subsidiaries and be a point of contact for the group team
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Coordination of regular and ad-hoc reporting to Management, Group, Investors and other stakeholders.
- Timely preparation of monthly Consolidated Financial Statements, performance analysis and other group deliverables.
- Consolidate group reports i.e EA offline template, Management expenses reconciliation, Analytical analysis, Phase 1,2 & 3 additional disclosures and updated of monthly exchange rates.
- Liase with the tax manager to align tax reporting requirements within HFM and assist in the preparation of the monthly/quarterly tax pack due to group. (This entails the review tax balance sheet movements, tax reconciliation per entity and
- Reconciliation of non-controlling interest in HFM for EA.
- Preparation of Management and Board Presentations. Key management reports include snapshot performance summary with commentary and Finance commentary.
- Liaison with subsidiary company’s finance teams to obtain financial information for consolidation.
- Review of subsidiary company financial information, including key performance indicators.
- Monitoring adherence to internal and external financial reporting deadlines.
- Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances across the group
- Split of holding companies’ costs/RFO to the various lines of business.
- Coordination of Group Statutory audits, including liaison with external auditors to facilitate external audit of the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Coordination of HFM (Group’s reporting tool) reporting across the UAP Old Mutual Group.
- Support the development, optimization and implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems across the group to support the implementation of the group’s strategy.
- Ensuring compliance with the Group’s internal finance processes, controls and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including reporting to regulators such as CMA, KRA, etc
- Monitoring the implementation and compliance with the Group internal controls.
- Coaching, training and development of other team members.
Participate in the Group’s business planning and budgeting process.
