Overall purpose of the job


  • Reporting to the Principal Internal Auditor, the officer will provide an independent and objective assurance on the reliability and integrity of the ICT operating systems, IT infrastructure and the School’s business systems.

Job Description


  • The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: –

  • Assisting in preparing audit plans for systems and ICT audit reviews.

  • Assisting in performing detailed evaluation of internal control and audit reviews of computer information systems and infrastructure.

  • Participate in risk-based ICT audits.

  • Assisting in providing recommendations to improve internal control.

  • Assisting in providing policy/system recommendations at development stage.

  • Assisting in follow up implementation of audit recommendations.

  • Assisting in monitoring the implementation and operation of defined controls.

  • Assisting in reviewing data and network security.

Persons’ Specifications

To qualify for this position, the applicant must have: –


  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or IT related field from recognized institutions.

  • Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

  • Proficiency in Computer Applications.

  • CISA Certification will be a distinct advantage.
