7. Medical Officer –CPSB 7 (15 Posts)      


Responsibilities


Reporting to the Medical Superintendent, the officer will be: –



  • Responsible for diagnosing, caring and  treating diseases;

  • performing medical and surgical procedures;

  • preparing and responding  to emergencies and disasters;

  • participating in management of medicines, medical instruments and equipment;

  • providing health education;

  • maintaining medical records, health Information and data;

  • counselling patients and their relatives on diagnoses and bereavement;

  • teaching and coaching medical students, nursing students and clinical officer interns; and preparing requisite documents for registration


Qualifications


For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –



  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; B.)  degree  from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;

  • successfully completed  one  (1)   year  Internship   from      a    recognized institution

  • Registration license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists  Board; and

  • Certificate in computer application  skills from  a recognized institution

Function of the Accounting Unit

The accounting division exists to perform the following functions: accounting policies development; managing  accounts  payable  (money  out);  managing  accounts  receivable  and revenue tracking (money in), handling payments; taxation and cash flow control, revenue collection and receipting; cash security; reconciliation of payments; inventory management; debtors collection; monitoring property accounting; cost analysis; preparation of accounting reports and security of accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities


The Officer will be responsible to the accountant for implementation of the tasks of the Accounts Division in a result oriented and timely manner to achieve the Corporations’ goals, objectives and agreed performance targets. This will entail inter alia:

  • Availing information to customers when necessary, upon request and escalate where unable to avail;
  • Receiving and verifying invoices/claims/imprest request from suppliers/staff and posting in appropriate registers and forwarding to Finance Manager for authorization;
  • Receiving   authorized   requests   (claims,   invoices,   imprest)   and   processing (prepare voucher/warrant) and capturing of the payment;
  • Receipting of cash/revenue received immediately upon recognition
  • Posting of payments and receipts in the cashbook daily;
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliation;
  • Preparing, updating and reconciling creditor, debtors and general ledgers and providing debtors report;
  • Preparing remittance advices for suppliers;
  • Preparing weekly payment status report, itemising pending payments; and
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Academic & Professional

Bachelor’s Degree in  Commerce,  Business  Administration, Business  management  (Finance  or  Accounting  option)  or other    relevant    and    equivalent    qualifications    from    a recognized institution;

Qualifications

-Proficiency in computer applications.
-Certified  Public   Accountants   (CPAK)  Examination   OR Diploma in Finance/Accounts or its recognized equivalent qualifications.

Position Summary


The IRC seeks a Graphic Designer who will support country program teams in Nairobi, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda in the implementation of the IKEA Foundation funded Re:Build program. Re:Build is a five year 30 million Euro program that aims to support urban refugees and host communities in Kampala and Nairobi to achieve economic self-reliance through supporting 1) Access to sustainable livelihoods and 2) Ensuring that strong markets and effective and responsive city services are accessible to all. The Graphic Designer will report to the Communications Manager and supports in creating program’s designs using print, electronic, and film media. This will involve creating brochures, publicity products and designing project reports and other print and electronic materials to promote and communicate Re:Build project needs.


Job Responsibilities:


• Undertake field visit to collect photos and other contents for design


• Create a wide range of graphics layouts for program and network which includes illustrations and photography


• Design and create presentations in PowerPoint – working from concepts, drawings, and very basic instruction from the project team


• Ensure that the Brand is always executed in a consistent manner across all areas of work , presentation of work all final concepts and projects to the relevant department


• Design marketing collateral e.g., newsletters, brochure covers, posters and manuals to fit the project identity


• Design electronic invitations and event related collateral


• Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval


• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them

Introduction


The Financial Sector Deepening Kenya (FSD Kenya) is an independent Trust dedicated to the achievement of an inclusive financial system that supports Kenya’s long-term development goals. FSD works closely with Government, the financial services industry and other partners to develop financial solutions that better address the real-world challenges faced by low-income households, enterprises and underserved groups such as women and youth.


To design impactful solutions, it is important to understand the relationship between finance and economic and social development in real-world markets. This requires deep interrogation of data and where need be, undertake further research. FSD Kenya has over the years leveraged FinAccess household survey datasets and invested in qualitative and quantitative primary research. This is in addition to mining supply-side data from various data aggregators. Some of these outputs can be accessed on the FSD Kenya website and COVID-19 Economic impact tracker Majority of these outputs have been curated in collaboration with FSD partners for long term development and posterity of the inclusive finance information market system.


To further advance this work, FSD Kenya is hereby inviting bidders to submit applications to be considered for the provision of the relevant specialised services in one or more of the following categories for the period 2023-2025.


Objective


To recruit suitable service providers that will advance ongoing inclusive finance research and data work to support FSD Kenya’s ongoing implementation of its 2022 – 2026 strategy. The outcome sought by the work is to stimulate insight & evidence generation and learning that will support the creation and delivery of value by the market for an inclusive and resilient economy for women, MSEs and other vulnerable groups.


Outcomes and deliverables


The consultant (s) is expected to work very closely with the FSD research team with outcomes and deliverables to be agreed upon over the strategy period. The overall outcomes desired are those that will be geared towards building the market information system in the inclusive finance space. Deliverables will vary as shall be discussed and agreed upon. These will include reports, videos, delivery of presentations, facilitating workshops, conversations with stakeholders, provision of data, transfer of skills or capacity building among others. However, these will be better defined in a term of reference once the specific work is commissioned.
