Title: Project Coordinator of the project financed by UNHCR and UNICEF/AVSI Team leader in Dadaab

Duty Station: Dadaab - Kenya
Period: 4 months with possible extension of one year
Starting Date: immediate (by 20th September)
Main objective: Renovation of school infrastructures and updating training for teachers inside the refugees camp of Dadaab - Kenya
Specific duties:
• To represent AVSI in Dadaab towards the Donors, the International Agencies, the Local Authorities and the various partners;
• To coordinate AVSI office in Dadaab and the AVSI personnel, national and international, present in the area;
• To coordinate all the projects activities during planning, implementation and monitoring;
• To directly follow all the activities and working phases related to the renovation of the school infrastructures;
• To coordinate the updating training activities for teachers among all actors involved;
• To be responsible for a proper financial record and operative procedures related to the projects, according to the donors procedure guidelines, done with the supporting of AVSI administrative and logistic staff;
• To prepare all the required narrative and financial reports;
• To prepare new project proposal for Dadaab to be submitted to different donors, in coordination with the AVSI Representative in Kenya and the Desk Officer.

Essential Requirement Degree or degree certificate in management and/or international cooperation; managerial skills; capability to coordinate and supervise the project’s personnel; working experience in development or emergency project’ preferably gained in refugees or IDPs camps; fluent knowledge of English language.
