Business Development Manager Job. Salary 300K Gross.

Our client is a leading provider of internationally recognized ICT and technology related business training, is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager who can successfully lead a team to identify and secure training opportunities across Africa.

Reporting to the Sales Director, Business Development Manager will be accountable for:
* Creating a business development and sales strategies to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability;
* Developing competitive pricing on all products, maintaining maximum profit margin.
* Developing a solid funnel of sales opportunities, following up on leads given by other cross functional teams, conducting competitive proposal presentations and RFP responses, etc.
* Developing and maintaining a comprehensive client database
* Leading and coaching Account Executives in the effective search and conversion of sales leads and prospects in current and new markets
* Leading the recruitment and performance management of Account Executives
* Liaising with the Marketing department to ensure regular distribution of client publications and updating of product/course materials
* Working closely with vendors and partners to pursue client leads and new products training as well as keep abreast with their strategy plans and market trends
* Preparation of regular reports as required

The following competencies will be the key to successful performance in this role:
* At least 5 years’ experience in selling, closing deals, and developing business in a competitive environment.
* Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships, outgoing, confident and resilient individual, excellent communicator with good presentation skills, self-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets.
* Demonstrated record of strong leadership and be able to lead by example.
* An appreciation of IT products such as CISCO, Juniper, Oracle, Sun and others would be beneficial, however it is not mandatory. Training on products will be provided to the successful candidate.
* A university degree in a business related or IT related field

The starting salary for this position will be KShs 300,000/- gross per month, commensurate with the skill and value the incumbent will bring to the table, plus a significant bonus for achieving and/or surpassing targets.
