PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGISTS
Key Responsibilities:
• Dispense drugs and counsel patients on proper use of the various drugs dispensed. Where necessary, highlight drug therapy issues to prescribes to ensure optimum care of patientsTake part in supply chain management to ensure that essential stocks are available in the pharmacy at all times.Monitor stock levels of drugs and place orders as necessaryReceipt and proper storage of pharmaceuticalsKeep appropriate documentation for accountability and research needs.Monitor storage conditions, expiry status and security of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure Pharmacovigilance in the pharmacyAssume other study related duties as assigned
Qualification, Skills and Competence
Applicants should have:
• Diploma in Pharmacy from a college licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board;
• KCSE C+and above.2 years experience in a community or hospital pharmacy;Good knowledge of variety of drugs and medical supplies;Ability to dispense, record and report accurately;Good communication & interpersonal skills, flexible and with proven ability to work in a team;Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
