Skills/knowledge
Tertiary qualification in Safety/Environmental Sciences, Geology, Geological Engineering or other related fieldMinimum NEBOSH certificate or similarSignificant HSE experience in the extractive industry, preferably in onshore explorationProven experience of managing HSE in remote operationsKnowledge of identification & control measures of operational risks/hazards in operational sitesDemonstrated knowledge and experience on the development and roll-out of HSE management systems in accordance with recognized international standards.Motivated self-starter with a passion for HSE.Able to manage HSE activities in multiple locations with minimal supervision, splitting time between office & field environments.Adaptable in fast changing environments and able to deliver results through a pragmatic and positive approach.Motivates and influences others in the delivery of good HSE performance.Thorough knowledge of HSE regulatory standards and compliance, and technical HSE.Must have experience in remote locations, preferably AfricaMust have worked in exploration drilling environments (and preferably seismic).Must be strong at contractor management processesMust have experience of developing local contentMust be strong on logistics risk managementMust have proven HSE management experienceAble to work in a multi-disciplinary team.Good written and verbal communication skills.Flexible in approach and able to work under pressureCommitted to high HSE standardsIf interested please forward up-to-date resume along with details of availability, day rate expectations and 2 referees (with consent for Keltec to contact) to Lorna Orr (
