Pharmaceutical Technologist (Aids Relief Project)
Purpose: To manage the ARP pharmacy, and coordinate all activities of stock and inventory management pertaining to HIV/AIDS drugs for the AIDS Relief program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure good store keeping for pharmacy drugsPrepare and manage pharmacy inventory in conjunction with the ARP project coordinatorBe part of clinical eligibility committee to set and periodically evaluate annual department goalsDevelop, review, and regularly update the standard operating procedures, manual for administration and distribution of ARVsReview with medical staff and update regularly the hospital drug formulary for the projectGive the ARP clinical team updates of the availability of drugsFollowing appropriate education and participate in counseling of patients taking ARVs in order to promote compliance with prescribed regimenDispense ARVs and OI drugs to patients in the programPreparation of monthly pharmacy reports to partnersMember of the Continous Quality Improvement TeamMinimum Acceptable qualifications:Diploma in pharmacy from K.M.T.C or equivalent with at least two years experienceComputer skills in windows, Microsoft word, excel, outlook and accessTraining in ART or effective commodity management; or previous experience working in a CCC would be an added advantageApplications (stating current and expected salary) for the above vacancy should be addressed to the undersigned so as to reach him by close of business Wednesday, February 27th 2013 by COBAll applications should be in the form of a single attachment containing both the cover letter, and CV Only (in MS Word or PDF format)
