Risk & Internal Audit Associate

To effectively manage the risk & compliance exposures in the growing Group, we to look to engage a high caliber professional as a Risk & Internal Audit Associate.

Risk & Internal Audit Job Purpose

The job holder will be expected to support the head of Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit in effective management of enterprise risk exposures within the Group, those associated with the strategy of the individual business units and subsidiaries and those arising from the Group’s operating model.

This involves partnership with business units, subsidiaries and other stakeholders to ensure that the processes for identifying, measuring, controlling and reporting enterprise risk exposures is aligned to the Board Approved Group Risk Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation of the enterprise wide risk management framework.

Monitor and validate the quality and consistency of compliance and operational risk processes across the group.

Continuously improve the operational risk processes within the various entities of the group with the intention of adding value to the various subsidiaries and business units while introducing practices that are fit for purpose.

Ensure that the departmental head, business unit heads are fully appraised operational and compliance risk exposures.

Identify and Monitor operational losses.

Assist in creation of risk awareness in the group.

Educational Requirements

An undergraduate degree in a business related field.

Financial related professional qualifications e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA or CFA.

Other compliance or risk management certification will be an added advantage.
Job Experience for Risk & Internal Audit Jobs in Kenya


Over 3- 5 years’ tangible experience in risk management at supervisory level.

Possess experience in training and sensitization in risk management and compliance

An in-depth understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks tools and processes.

Possess a good understanding of market risks

Working knowledge of financial services and related controls.
