The Kenya School of Law is a Postgraduate Training Institution run under the auspices of the Kenya School of Law Act No. 26 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya.

The core mandate of the School is inter alia ttrain for legal professional development and in particular to train lawyers for entry into the legal professional as Advocates of the High Court of Kenya. The core function of the School as currently constituted includes provision of the following functions:-

Advocates Training Programme & Par-legal Studies

Continuing Professional Development, Projects & Legal Research

In order to effectively meet these expanded functions the School wishes to recruit full timehigh calibre personnel who will join the existing strong team of staff to help it realize its vision of being “A preferred
centre of Excellence in professional legal training in the East African Region and beyond”

Front Office Assistant

Front Office Job Overall purpose


Reporting to the Human Resource & Administration Manager, the incumbent will assist in general administration duties as well as manage the main reception and the switchboard.

Person Specification

Requirements for Front Office Jobs in Kenya

The successful candidate will:

Possess a diploma in front office operations or telephone operations or equivalent. Holders of relevant certificates with at least 2 year experience may be considered;

Have acertificate in secretarial training;

Have excellent verbal and written communications skills coupled with excellent customer care and public relations skills;

Have good Information Communication Technology skills. Experience with MS Word and MS Excel will be an advantage;

Demonstrate good telephone etiquette and switchboard handling skills.

Remuneration Package:
KSL 8 Basic Salary: 30,000 x 1,800 to 31,800 x 1,800 to 33,600 x 1,800 to 35,400 x 1,800 to 37,200 x 1,800 to 39,000 x 1800 to 40,800 x 1,800 to 42,600 x 1,800 to 44,400 x 1,800 to 46,200 per month
House Allowance: 10,000
Commuter Allowance: 6,000
