Vacancy: Managing Director
Client Brief: We are looking for a very energetic, responsible, honest and ambitious self-driven individual with an engineering background and general management experience.About the company: The Company is in the fire systems management, Air conditioning and generators (part of energy and water management) business.
They install fire systems, ACs, and generators in buildings including commercial buildings. They have been in operation for over 20 years and are well known in the business.Person Profile
Aged about 35 years, the right candidate should have good sales experience having led large technical and non-technical sales teams.
He or she should have strong leadership skills to drive the business to greater heights year on year by inspiring his team and creating the right products for the market.
He or she will be a good communicator in both written and oral communication thus carrying his team and clients with him through a well written and articulated speech or report.
Competencies: The right candidate will have the following key competencies: strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication skills to connect with both technical and non-technical people, self-drive, ambitious, good business manager to drive P&L and Balance sheet, good people management skills, client focus, good at controls, ability to develop self, others and the business; and an overall leader in the business.
Experience: The right candidate will have 10 years’ experience as an engineer and also as a manager leading a large team of both technical and non-technical staff.
Education
First Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil)
MBA in Strategic Management or related field.
