Athena Properties Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Centum is looking to filling the position of Development Manager.

This position reports to the Managing Director. The Development Manager is the commercial lead responsible for execution of project business case.

Development Manager Job Responsibilities

Sole responsibility of ensuring delivery within the set business case parameters.

End to end Development Management from land acquisition, advanced strategies, design, construction, funding and urban/asset management

Managing stakeholders for effective collaboration between all parties involved, including public and private sectors, government agencies, consultants, employees, partners and shareholders

Providing weekly project progress reports to the Managing Director highlighting progress, budget, program, issues and risks.

Chairing development related meetings and management of the project management teams.

Managing contractual and financial matters relating to project consultant and contractors.

Attendance at Athena development management workshops and board meetings.

Identification of new development opportunities
Qualifications For Development Manager Jobs In Kenya

Educational Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an engineering and or construction related field.

A Project Management professional qualification will be an advantage

Job Experience

Minimum of 8 year’s experience as a project or development manager in the real estate development or construction industry.

Sound knowledge of commercial aspects in real estate and project packaging.

Good understanding of Kenyan regulations and legislation around the real estate sector.

Competencies

Ethical leader with a track record of successfully leading teams.

Effective communicator with the ability to articulate issues to a diverse audience both in person and print

Demonstrated capacity to execute on multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with a diverse group of institutions and individuals.

Demonstrated ability to develop new methodologies related to planning and design of integrated developments

Ability to grow with the organization fostered by entrepreneurial drive.
