Manufacturing Company Country Manager Job in Kigali, Rwanda

The client is a Mombasa, Kenya based container glass and table ware manufacturer. It is a leading supplier to the soft drinks and beverage Industries in East Africa with around 50% of their products being exported. 

The company produces containers for carbonated Soft Drink Bottles for Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Flask Bottles for Diageo and other distilleries with around 96 Million Bottles produced annually.

The company presently manufactures Soft Drink Bottles with ACL decorating from 200 ML to 1000 ML capacity and 250 ML and 350 ML flasks and 750 ML bottles for the Spirits Industry.

The company currently has an opening for a suitably qualified individual to fill the following position:

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Brief description of the role

• Responsible for sales and administration in the Rwanda Market for all products


• Reviews and evaluates the performance of the suppliers


• Carry out all necessary procurement and office administration activities


• Ensure proper processing of assigned customer orders


• Verifies that the required order within the agreed budget


• Verifies quantification of orders


• Verify final invoices with Finance and Accounts Department prior to payment processing


• Provide assistance with contract documents, consistently monitoring contracts and updating contracts where applicable


• Maintain a bidders list, vendors file, and such other records are needed for the efficient operation of the country manager function

Knowledge and skills required

• Knowledge of Purchasing methods and procedures in manufacturing fast moving consumer goods


• Ability to create and maintain long term customer relationships


• Communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner


• Effective relationship management skills


• Proven oral and written communication skills


• Solid organization and analytical skills ability to work with processes, numbers and statistics


• Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision


• High level of integrity

Academic Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain/Business Management/ Sales & Marketing or equivalent


• Work experience and skills


• Sound knowledge and experience with a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management role


• Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office proficiency
