Manufacturing Company Sales and Marketing Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya

The client is a Mombasa, Kenya based container glass and table ware manufacturer. It is a leading supplier to the soft drinks and beverage Industries in East Africa with around 50% of their products being exported. 

The company produces containers for carbonated Soft Drink Bottles for Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Flask Bottles for Diageo and other distilleries with around 96 Million Bottles produced annually.

The company presently manufactures Soft Drink Bottles with ACL decorating from 200 ML to 1000 ML capacity and 250 ML and 350 ML flasks and 750 ML bottles for the Spirits Industry.

The company currently has an opening for a suitably qualified individual to fill the following position:

Function: Operations

Reporting to: General Manager

Location: Nairobi

Brief description of the role

• Responsible for serving the customers in Nairobi and upcountry as well as ensuring no stock outs of fast moving products


• Provide business support to company customers in Nairobi & upcountry


• Ensure maintenance of adequate stocks to service the market


• Generate new business for the company


• Verifies quantification of orders


• Supervises the dispatch process to the clients


• Verify final invoices with Finance and Accounts Department prior to payment processing


• Follow up on payments from customers

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Knowledge of Sales & Marketing methods and procedures in manufacturing & FMCG


• Ability to create and maintain long term customer relationships


• Communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner


• Effective relationship management skills


• Proven oral and written communication skills


• Solid organization and analytical skills ability to work with processes, numbers and statistics


• Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision


• High level of integrity

Academic Qualification

• Certificate in Supply Chain Management/Procurement from an approved institution


• Microsoft Office proficient


• Business related degree in Sales & Marketing

Work Experience

• At least 3-5 years in a similar position and industry
