Position Report to the Job Title: Foreman and Field Recovery

Overall Objective: The GM Technical Services will be responsible for the maintenance of the company fleet in highly serviceable condition. 

He will also responsible for the entire operation of the workshop and managing mechanics and also maintain the company fleet in good serviceable condition at lowest cost to efficiently serve the clients

Key Tasks

• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance


• Proper and update preventive maintenance schedules for all trucks and trailers


• Ensure that the workshop EHS procedures are implemented


• Confirm and review with EC & PM the monthly truck wise maintenance cost


• Advise on the truck condition and economic viability of repairs/rehabilitation


• Report to PM any damage, misuse etc by negligence of drivers and mechanics


• Arrange for immediate recovery of accidents/breakdowns


• Investigate and report on cause of accidents and break downs


• Receive VIRs from PHS and advise workshop foreman on repairs required


• Confirm repairs done and authorize release of vehicles by signing VIR


• Inspect the trucks to meet the required standard by Oil companies


• Follow up reports from the branches and repairs undertaken thereof


• Any other task assigned by the management from time to time


• Suggestions to improve the operation in workshop

Key Requirements

• A Degree Supply Chain Management and Logistics or equivalent


• At least 8yrs working three of which should be in a similar supervisory role


• Excellent analytical and IT skills


• Good leadership skills


• Integrity is key


• A good planner and organizer


• Good communication skills


• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines


• Supervisory experience and qualifications in warehouse and distribution operations
