Job description

Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit the position of Legal Affairs Manager in the Corporate Affairs Division. Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director, the incumbent’s role shall be to:

 

Provide senior management with Sound legal counsel on matters concerning contracts, disputes, interpretation and compliance to law

Update and educate the business on any legal reviews

To expedite review and draft of contracts within agreed timelines, in compliance to applicable law and protecting company interests

Reduce disputes going for arbitration /litigation by ensuring amicable resolution in consultation with the relevant department.

Provide accurate legal opinion to various departments in order to ensure compliance with contract terms and

applicable law

Timely registration of trademarks  and timely compensation in regard to insurance matters

Identify and implement ideas/ways to improve engagement level of team members

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Diploma in Law (Kenya School of Law) and admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya

At least 6-10 years’ work experience in a busy commercial environment

Good leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills

Good business acumen

 Results oriented  team player

 Rigorous and organized

 Good communication and presentation skills
