Job Title: HR Officer – Hotel

Our client is one of the fast growing hotels in Nairobi with recreational and conferencing facilities.
They seek to hire a HR Officer who will be responsible for developing, advising on and implementing policies relating to the effective use of personnel within the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Hiring staff – advertising and interviewing
- Payroll Management – Making sure staff have the right pay and benefits
- Working with other managers to plan future staff needs
- Keeping employee records
- Providing staff training and development
- Arranging staff services such as welfare and counseling
- Dealing with complaints and discipline procedures
- Promoting equality, and health and safety
- Advising on matters like pay negotiations, redundancy and employment law
- Developing HR policies and procedures
- Writing staff handbooks
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resource Management or in Business Administration
- Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
- At least 5 years experience in similar role
- Experience dealing with Unions
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Problem Solving Skills
