Vacancy: Marketing Services Manager
Overall Responsibility: Reporting to the CEO, the Marketing Services Manager will support and coordinate the implementation of marketing activities for General and Life lines of business in order to ensure that corporate marketing objectives are realized.
As part of business development, the function will coordinate all business initiatives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Company.
In addition, the function will ensure optimal utilization of the Company’s comparative advantage, specifically the distribution network for enhanced business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the operationalization of marketing strategies and marketing objectives,
- Identify, coordinate and pursue new business opportunities
- Coordinate Corporate Communication and Public Relations activities
- Coordinate marketing promotion activities such as golf tournaments, exhibitions, trade fairs and any other publicity events that the company may organize
- Recommend possible measures to enhance the Company’s competitive ability
- Building and enhancement of relationship with various business partners
- Systematically gather appropriate market intelligence for use to improve the business performance and keep the heads of divisions informed of new developments
- Closely monitor Customer Service satisfaction to ensure renewals are not threatened
- Carryout market research to determine the overall demand of the company’s products, future product developments and business opportunities for the brand in liaison with the Sales and Marketing Teams
- Identify new business potential in traditional and non-traditional areas
- Appraise competitors’ activities and overall economic and social trends whilst drawing up action plans to stimulate profitable revenue growth
- Maintain close liaison with senior staff in other divisions, departments and in the branches in order to enhance a well-coordinated marketing approach
- Enhance and create consistency of the company’s brand by working with various sales and Marketing Teams, procurement as well as the Agencies to ensure that the company brand value ad images are followed and consistency maintained
- Manage all media queries and provide responses and feedback in consultation with the CEO
- Preparation of Operational and Board reports as may be required from time to time
Experience, Knowledge and Abilities
- Five (5) years’ experience in a similar position and preferably in the financial services sector
- In-depth knowledge of products and services offered in the insurance market
- Knowledge of dynamics of Financial Services Sector and specifically the Insurance Sector
- A strategic thinker with excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal and networking skills, ability to work with a diverse team
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Business degree from a recognized university while an MBA will be added advantage
- Professional qualifications in insurance
- Professional qualification in Marketing and preferably a member of MSK
- Proficient in use of MS office
