Position: I N & Charging Service Manager
Region: Nairobi
Reporting to: Head of Service Platforms
Range: R2L
Role Purpose: Responsible for Think and build for Intelligent Network and Online Charging, e-jaze, e-money and other e-commerce platforms in accordance with market, technological and organisational objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Think & Build;
Translating the business requirements into the technical and operational specifications
Conception, design and planning of service platforms to meet business requirements
Provide technical specifications and other requirements for sourcing of service platforms
Manage Vendor and Supplier relationships to support development and implementation of new marketing products and service offers
Service and capacity forecast, planning, deployment and optimization of the platforms including asset management
Handling and coordinating the service: implementation and configuration on the technical architecture following a market/customer requirement
Managing the technical resource roadmap including bug fixing and version upgrades, end of support/life, updating the resources management documentation and maintaining the database quality
Forecast and work with PMO to prepare CAPEX budget to meet business requirements and reduce OPEX
Liaise with FT group skill centres to obtain validation and support on new installations, upgrades and integrations
Overseeing all Change Requests, testing and implementation by the team
Working closely with other departments such Revenue Assurance, ITN security to ensure prevention and minimizing revenue leakage incidences
Receive and resolve engineering related escalations of anomalies and resolve with support of skill centres and vendors as per support contracts
Participate in Post incidence reviews, root cause analysis and implementation recommendations of PIR
Team management and leadership
Academic/ Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer engineering, communications engineering or equivalent
Training in management
At least 3 years’ experience as team leader of a technical team
Experience in building and running of telecommunications networks especially IN and value added service platforms.
