Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Assistant Quality Control Manager Career in Nairobi Kenya

Our client is a medium-sized pharmaceutical products manufacturing company based in Nairobi. 

Their main operation is focused on manufacturing quality products that meet international quality threshold with the safety and health of their clients being at the heart of their production principles.

They are currently seeking to recruit a performance driven, results oriented individual to fill the following position:

Position: Assistant Quality Control Manager

Roles

• Carry out analysis of raw materials: Assays, sulphated ash, melting point, bulk density, loss on drying and polarity in collaboration with contracted laboratories.


• To perform analysis on finished product- identification and assay.


• Prepare timely reports of physical analysis and assays done.


• Carry out calibration of laboratory equipment.


• Train new staff in the Quality Control Department on Good Laboratory Practices and general quality standard requirements.


• Ensure that everything from raw materials to finished products meet expected quality standards and that all inspection and testing is carried out to specified requirements.


• Visit the factory floor and take samples of products and inspect production processes.


• Inspect raw and packaging materials purchased by the company from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance.


• Maintain proper records of all tests carried out.

Qualifications: 

• Holder of a degree in Pharmacy


• Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.

Experience: 1-2 years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing set up.
