They are a mobile health exchange where digital payment streams and information are connected to medical data, thus improving quality of care, reducing cost of care and creating transparency and accountability. 



Our cloud-based platform is currently being installed at more than 1300 healthcare providers throughout Kenya, and through it people are able to transfer, receive and pay with health related funds and benefits on their mobile phone. 



For each transaction on their platform they also capture the medical data in real-time, which allows for unprecedented healthcare quality control and improvement measures that are not at all common yet in the developed world, let alone in Africa.

The client’s mission is to Connect People to Quality Healthcare, first in Kenya, and then in the rest of the world. 




They make their mission come alive through close partnerships with well-known companies such as Vodafone and Safaricom (Kenya’s largest mobile network operator and the company behind the world’s most successful mobile payment platform: M-PESA), and with some of the largest and most successful pharmaceutical companies in the world.

About the Position: To acquire, contract and manage a number of healthcare providers to ensure quality of service and revenue generation for the organisation.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Take responsibility to market the organisation’s services to the healthcare providers and members

  • Source and contract new healthcare providers.

  • Registration and negotiations of services and prices at the clinics.

  • Ensure training of providers on the organisation’s services, processes and systems.

  • Be first point of contact for any queries from healthcare providers.

  • Ensure quality of services through regular healthcare visits, reporting and providing feedback for improvements to the healthcare providers.

  • Introduce healthcare providers to external quality improvement programs

  • Advise/input the operations team on eligibility of healthcare provider for payer products

  • Train healthcare providers on specifics of payer products

  • Provide quality customer care.

  • To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Required Qualifications:


  • Degree in Nursing or other suitable medical background in a related field or other closely related field.


Required Knowledge & Experience:


  • Bachelor degree in nursing, or other healthcare related field

  • Strong understanding of private and public outpatient healthcare delivery

  • At least 3 -5 years of relevant working experience

  • Proven experience in health insurance and/or private healthcare

  • Experience in Case Management including claims

  • Client relations experience

  • An understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions: May be required to travel in-country for approximately 70% of the time.
