Human Resource Officer Job in Nairobi, Kenya




Our client in the Professional Services Industry (Financial Management Services), seeks to engage an up-to-challenge mid-level Human Resource Officer with strong accounting background.
 



Position Title: Human Resource Officer
 



Role Summary: To institute and implement internal control measures as well as industry best practices that will ensure proper human resource management in the organization at all times.
 



Responsibilities


  • Overseeing the whole process of recruitment from planning until placement and induction stage.

  • Ensuring optimal career and personal development of staff.

  • Responsible for performance management of the staff to ensure that the greatest possible benefit is obtained from their abilities.

  • In charge of compensation and reward management function of the organization.

  • Institute measures and strategies that will ensure fair exchange between the organization and the employees.

  • Managing HR administration duties.

  • Providing HR generalist services to management such as formulation and implementation of workplace policies.

  • Responsible for the general staff well-being by fostering safe, healthy, and harmonious work environment.

  • Assumes other duties as may be deemed necessary by management/ the roles of the profession.


Preferred Requirements


  • At least four years Human Resource Management experience in a busy Audit/Accounting environment.

  • Proven Financial Management expertise.

  • A degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent as well as a CPA.

  • IHRM membership.

  • In-depth knowledge and application of Kenya labour laws.

  • Advanced MS Office and accounting softwares skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good organizational and problem solving skills.

  • A person of integrity with high level of emotional intelligence.
