Our client in the Professional Services Industry (Financial Management Services), seeks to engage an up-to-challenge mid-level Human Resource Officer with strong accounting background.
Position Title: Human Resource Officer
Role Summary: To institute and implement internal control measures as well as industry best practices that will ensure proper human resource management in the organization at all times.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the whole process of recruitment from planning until placement and induction stage.
- Ensuring optimal career and personal development of staff.
- Responsible for performance management of the staff to ensure that the greatest possible benefit is obtained from their abilities.
- In charge of compensation and reward management function of the organization.
- Institute measures and strategies that will ensure fair exchange between the organization and the employees.
- Managing HR administration duties.
- Providing HR generalist services to management such as formulation and implementation of workplace policies.
- Responsible for the general staff well-being by fostering safe, healthy, and harmonious work environment.
- Assumes other duties as may be deemed necessary by management/ the roles of the profession.
Preferred Requirements
- At least four years Human Resource Management experience in a busy Audit/Accounting environment.
- Proven Financial Management expertise.
- A degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent as well as a CPA.
- IHRM membership.
- In-depth knowledge and application of Kenya labour laws.
- Advanced MS Office and accounting softwares skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and problem solving skills.
- A person of integrity with high level of emotional intelligence.
